Following on from PlayStation, Steam and Xbox One releases of New ‘n’ Tasty – Oddworld Inhabitants Inc are excited to announce that the game has officially landed for PlayStation Vita and is out today!
Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty lands on Vita!
In essence, this Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty version is adapted to play on the bus, laid back on the sofa, or during your lunch break, while still delivering that “AAA indie” level of polish Oddworld fans have come to expect.
Inhabitants have reworked the controls considerably. A lot of attention has been lavished on the individual buttons and sticks – tweaking the analog dead zones, doubling up the shoulder buttons and making sure that Abe always goes exactly where you want him to no matter what. Of extreme importance, however, is the instant QuikSave and QuickLoad from the PlayStation 4 version: tap SELECT to QuikSave wherever you are in the game, and hold the same button to reload.
The visuals have also improved. The game looks grittier – gone is the bloom and glow leaving an aesthetic that closer resembles the 1997 classic.
New ‘n’ Tasty for Vita is Cross-buy, so if you’ve already bought the PS4 or PS3 version of the game (or got it during last year’s PlayStation Plus offering) then the Vita version is free to download.
