Everything is bigger in The Witcher 3 which meant a bigger cast, more recording, and even the addition of Charles Dance to the game.
Side was delighted to once again partner with CD Projekt RED to provide all casting, direction, and recording for this critically acclaimed title.
With approximately 50 hours of main storyline, the script of 450,000 words, delivered by over 950 characters, was recorded over a two & half year period under the guidance of lead voice director Kate Saxon.
Borys Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz, senior writer on the game said:
“I cannot commend Side enough for what it brought to the process and ultimately helped us achieve. From casting and our initial recording sessions in the closing months of 2012, through putting the final touches on the voice-overs in Wild Hunt in the early months of this year – the whole team at Side showed immense commitment, focus and stamina.
With a game world as colorful as ours, it’s comforting to have directors like Kate Saxon, Mark Healy and Damien Goodwin on board – all masters of the human psyche and heart with a keen ear for language in its many regional and social variations. “
