It was known. Months after its accidental reveal by a careless Capcom employee on a post about REmake HD, Capcom just announced the release of Resident Evil Zero HD on Japanese gaming website Dengeki. Resident Evil Zero was released in 2002 as a Gamecube exclusive, and is considered the last classic era RE. The game stars fan favorite Rebecca Chambers and the (back then) new character Billy Coen, and takes place before the events of the first game.
The first screenshot of the game can be seen below:
Shortly before the release of REmake HD, Capcom posted the following picture of the Japan-exclusive PS4 theme. Some fans spotted the RE0 logo among the icons the PS4 dashboard, starting the assumption that RE0 HD would follow as the next remaster. Capcom quickly replaced the picture, but the damage was done.
Resident Evil Zero HD will be released for PC, PS4, XBox One, PS3 and XBox 360 on early 2016.
